Much awaited Mukunda Murari, featuring two big stars Upendra and Sudeep, is releasing on October 28. The Kannada movie was supposed to hit the screens this week. But it was delayed to avoid clash with a few successfully-running Kannada movies.
Mukunda Murari is expected to release in over 200 screens in Karnataka. It will be clashing with Yash and Radhika Pandit’s much-hyped film Santhu Straight Forward, which is also likely to release big. Apart from this flick, it will be locking horns with non-Kannada films, including Bollywood movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Tamil movies Kodi and Kaashmora and others.

Mukunda Murari has generated a lot of pre-release buzz as the movie features two big stars uniting for the first time. The Sudeep and Upendra-starrer is releasing in over 200 screens in Karnataka. The film is expected to snatch many screens from other biggies like Ramya and late Vishnuvardhan’s Nagarahavu, Nikhil Kumar’s Jaguar, Prakash Raj’s Idolle Ramyana, Yogaraj Bhat-directorial Dana Kayonu and Suri’s Dodmane Huduga.
Mukunda Muraru Movie Review
The advance booking for Mukunda Murari has already started in a few theatres. The early reports emerging from the industry says that there is a good hype around the Kannada film.
Initially, the makers had planned to release Mukunda Murari on 21 October. But they changed their plans to avoid clashes with biggies like Ramya’s Nagarahaavu, Puneeth Rajkumar’s Dodmane Huduga, Yogaraj Bhat’s Dana Kayonu and Prakash Raj’s Idolle Ramayana.
Mukunda Murari is written and directed by Nanda Kishore of Victory and Ranna fame. It is a remake of hit Bollywood movie Oh My God, which starred Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal in the leads.
The movie has Nikita Thukral, Ishita Vyas, P Ravishankar, Tabla Nani, Avinash and others in the cast. Arjun Janya has composed the music, Sudhakar S Raj is the cinematographer and JM Prakash is the editor of the flick.
Hence, Mukunda Murari is set to affect the business of other big films in the opening weekend. However, trade experts say that Upendra and Sudeep’s film should garner good reviews to survive in the game of survival of the fittest.
Mukunda Murari is the Kannada remake of Bollywood hit film Oh My God. While Sudeep is stepping into the shoes of Akshay Kumar’s character, Upendra is enacting Paresh Rawal’s role. Nikita Thukral, who recently married her boyfriend Gagandeep Singh Mago, Ravi Shankar, Devaraj, Prakash Belawadi, Avinash, Tabla Nani and others are also in the cast.
Th Nanda Kishore-directorial movie is jointly produced by MN Kumar and B Jayashree Devi under the banner of MNK Movies. The film has Arjun Janya’s music, Sudhakar S Raj’s cinematography and JM Prakash’s editing.
