Angad Singh Bedi made his Bollywood debut with Remo D’Souza’s comedy film F.A.L.T.U, which along with him starred Jackky Bhagnani, Puja Gupta, Chandan Roy Sanyal in the lead roles.

Early Life

He is born and brought up in Chandigarh, Punjab in a non-film background as his father is a known cricketer Bishan Singh Bedi. He completed his schooling from Bishop Cotton School in Shimla, while completed his graduation from St Stephen’s College , New Delhi. Though he always intended to be a cricketer, however, with no big break in his hand in this field he also tried the options of modelling and acting and thus was seen with different movies and ads.

After trying cricket for a while, he also gave a try in modelling and later shifted to TV wherein he got the chance to do a TV serial called Kaya Taran, which is basically inspired by a story of NS Madhavan called When Big Tree Falls, the earth is bound to shake. He was then seen in one of the cookery show called Cook Na Kaho on the channel Star One, he then headed to host a reality show at Bindas channel called Emotional Atyachaar and even seen participating in the reality program called Khatron Ke Khiladi.

After his maiden release F.A.L.T.U received mixed reviews at the box office and was declared a failure, critically, Angad went on to star in the drama film Ungli. Produced by Karan Johar, the film starred Emraan Hashmi, Randeep Hooda, Kangana Ranaut, Neha Dhupia, Angad Bedi, Neil Bhoopalam and Sanjay Dutt in important roles. Ungli opened to positive reviews and Angad Bedi’s performance was appreciated.

In 2016, Angad featured as an antagonist in the courtroom drama Pink, which along with him starred Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, and Piyush Mishra. His other 2016 release includes the Indian drama film, Dear Zindagi. Directed by Gauri Shinde, the movie stars Alia Bhatt, Shah Rukh Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Kunal Kapoor, and Angad Bedi in pivotal roles.
